COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Walter Cecil Bandy, 87, of Cookeville, were held at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 3, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial was in Cookeville City Cemetery.
Mr. Bandy died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 16, 1919, in Putnam County to the late William Thomas and Ova Grogan Bandy.
Mr. Bandy was a factory worker and a member of Sycamore Church of Christ and also a member of American Legion.
His family includes a sister, Ida Bean of Cookeville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Hensley Bandy; seven sisters, Claudia A. Dyer, Lola V. Stewart, Flora Vickers, Cora Bandy, Dora Bandy, Arfie (AV) Flatt and Vola Gertrude Hunter; nine brothers, John Estus, Lonnie Oscar, James Cordell, Louis Edward, Frank and Hubert Douglas Bandy, William Loffette, Daniel Webster (Webb) Daws and James Early Daws.
