Manuelita Ortiz Gonzales Gallegos
1911-2008

Manuelita Ortiz Gonzales Gallegos, age 97, a resident of Bosque, passed away on Friday, Nov. 7. She was a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church in Sabinal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufino G. Gallegos; grandson, Sammy Gonzales; and daughter-in-law, Lucille Gonzales.

Manuelita is survived by her two sons, Lorenzo Gonzales and Paul Gonzales and wife, Frances; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, on Sunday, Nov. 9, followed by recitation of the rosary. A final visitation was held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Monday, Nov. 10, followed by celebration of a funeral Mass with Father Stephen Schultz presiding. Interment followed at the Sabinal Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul, Michael, David and Thomas Gonzales, Nicole Schmitt and Dean Jaramillo. Honorary pallbearers were Benny Padilla, Robert, Anthony and Lawrence P. Gonzales.
