LINTON, Curtis D. (68) of Priest River, Idaho passed away January 26, 2007 in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho following a long illness. Curtis was born January 10, 1939 in Priest River, Idaho the son of James R. Sr. and Cora Ellen (Brumley) Linton. After graduating high school he joined the United States Air Force Reserve. Curtis was known to move around in his younger years. In 1970 until 1975 he and his family lived in Montana, then they moved to Pasco, Washington until 1986. In 1986 he moved to Priest River where he lived until his death. Curtis was a man who could drive and operate any equipment that you put in front of him. He worked for many different outfits over the years, doing numerous jobs and everyone who he worked for loved his work. He was an outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. When Curtis was younger he was into woodworking. He loved roses and loved to grow them. Survivors include his three children Todd (& Michelle) Linton of Kennewick, Washington, Terry (& Liz) Linton of Kennewick, Washington and Traci (& Shaun) Thomas of McCall, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; six siblings Jim (& Joany) Linton of Priest River, Idaho, June (& Don) Pettit of Priest River, Idaho, Gerald Linton of Seeley Lake, Montana, Joy (& Gary) Altmaier of Priest River, Idaho, Delbert (& Cindy) Linton of Colbert, Washington and Mickey (& Vicki) Linton of Priest River, Idaho. Besides his parents Curtis was preceded in death by three brothers Larry, Denny, and Ray Linton. Viewing will be held at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport from 9 -4 Wednesday thru Friday. A Funeral Service will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Priest River.
