MARY ANDRADE, 84, of 20 Harris Ave., an inspector for 20 years at A.T. Cross Co., Lincoln, before retiring in 1974, died Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital, after a week-long illness.

Born in Bristol, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Lewis) Andrade, she lived in Providence and Bristol before moving to Cranston 20 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church.

She leaves a son, Robert E. Andrade of Warwick; two brothers, Ralph Andrade of Swansea, Mass., and Manuel Andrade of Barrington; five sisters, Sadie Soares and Elsie Tavares, both of Portsmouth, and Hilda Armillotto, Irene Prezioso and Alice Tavares, all of Bristol; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late John Andrade Jr., Joseph Andrade and Cora Carr.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Mary Church, Wood Street. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
