WAYNESBORO - William Raymond Courtney, of 1221 Rosser Ave., died Thursday (April 28, 2005) at Avante at Waynesboro. He was born Oct. 21, 1914, at Waynesboro, to Charles and Clara Courtney.
Mr. Courtney was preceded in death his parents; his first wife, Mary Courtney; his second wife, Ruth (Bridge) Campbell, Courtney; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Cecilia Mundy of Richmond; five stepsons, Davis Campbell of Waynesboro, Lawrence Campbell of Stuarts Draft, Galen Campbell of Newfoundland; Wayne Campbell of Chesterfield and Lewis Floyd of Stuarts Draft; a stepdaughter, Twilla Truslow of Nellysford; and a sister, Bessie, of Waynesboro.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sherando United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Augusta Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Reynolds Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
