Seventy-five Volunteer firemen of Tyrone paid tribute to Emory Grant Piper at the Piper home, East Tenth street on Sunday evening and this afternoon many of the men followed the body to Grandview (sic-Eastlawn) where it was laid to rest in the tomb. The Episcopal services were held at the home in charge of Rev. Frank T. Cady. Many floral pieces surrounded the casket showing the high esteem in which Mr. Piper was held in Tyrone. The casket bearers were Raymond A.
Hagerman, Oscar Johnson, James Fleming, R. T. Bayard, William D. Snyder, Irvin T. Gray, Len Cowher and A. B. Woodring.
