Betty graduated from Crowder High School and Oklahoma State University with a master's degree in home economics education. She taught home economics and retired from Hartshorne school in 1990. She married Dale Moore in 1980 in McAlester. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. She passed away at the age of 77 at Beare Manor Nursing Home in Hartshorne. Survivors include her husband, Dale Moore, of the home; son, Luke Workman, of Wilburton; daughter, Leslie Ann Davis and husband, Thomas, Blackwell, Texas; stepson, Dale Moore Jr. and wife, Cathy, Dallas; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jetti Brown, and a brother, Ed Brown. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester with the Rev. John Grubbs officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
