Coalville--Howard Blonquist, 64, of Coalville, died Tuesday in the Summit County Hospital of natural causes.
Mr. Blonquist was born June 8, 1909, in Upton, Utah, a son of Alfred and May Huffman Blonquist.
He was married to Gwennola Clark on Aug. 6, 1933, in Coalville. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a member of the Coalville 2nd LDS Ward and had served in the Sunday School Superintendency.
He had been a farmer and mink rancher. He retired from Mountain Fuel Supply Co., and had been employed by the North Summit School District.
He had been chairman of the North Summit Republican Party, and served as vice president of the Summit County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his widow of Coalville; the following sons and daughters: Alfred C. Blonquist, Don C. Blonquist, Mrs. Jeneil Muir, Mrs. Roger (RaNae) Crittenden, all of Coalville; six grandchildren.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Clifford Blonquist, George Blonquist, Troy Blonquist, Elmer Blonquist, Mrs. Bernett Smith, Mrs. Gertrude Taylor, Mrs. Elsie Oswald, all of Coalville; Mrs. Erma Shepherd, Redmond, Ore.; Mrs. Kathryn Gibson, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Summit Stake LDS Chapel in Coalville with Bishop Kay Richins officiating.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Coalville Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial in Coalville Cemetery.
