Alfred C. Blonquist died June 29, 2013 at his home in Coalville, UT. He was born March 14, 1939 to Howard and Gwennola Clark Blonquist in Coalville, UT. He graduated from North Summit High School and attended Utah State University. He was a sheep and cattle rancher, and worked in the Construction business as a heavy equipment operator until he was forced to retire because of Multiple Sclerosis. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 for 50 years. He enjoyed his work in Farm Bureau and being the Summit County President for 12 years. He loved going to rodeos, traveling in the motor home with friends, and meeting new people along the way. He loved his border collies and going to the mountains with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Joe, and daughter Tina. Survived by his sweetheart Laura; children: Kurt, Denise, and Raquel (Nate); and four grandchildren. Also his sisters Jeneil Fairbourn and RaNae (Roger) Crittenden; his brother Don (Janet) Blonquist; a special Aunt Dolly Simister; and Laura's children: Terry (Dale), Karrie, and Rus.

Graveside services will be Friday, July 5 at 11:00am at the Coalville Cemetery. No viewing will be held. The family wishes to thank Applegate Hospice nurses and aids for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
