Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Friday (today), June 26 at the Greensburg Presbyterian Church for Milton A. Vaughn who died Wednesday, June 24 at 6:30 a. m. at the age of 56 years. Rev. V. A. Jones will be in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. E. S. Denton. Burial will be in Greensburg cemetery. Although he had been in ill health for several months, his death came as a shock to his family and many friends. Mr. Vaughn served as Master Commissioner of Green County for 11 years, was Democratic Chairman of the county 17 years, and has been Deputy State Fire Marshal since 1949. The son of the late Early Vaughn, and Mrs. Claude Henry Vaughn, he was born in Green County March 6, 1897. He professed faith in Christ and united with the Presbyterian church in Greensburg where he remained a member until death. He was united in marriage to Miss Edna Hartfield. To this union two sons were born. One son was born by a former marriage. Surviving beside his wife are, Buckner Taylor Vaughn, Edenton, N. C., Alfred E. Vaughn, of Illinois, and Milton Vaughn, Jr., Greensburg. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Claude Vaughn; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Hutcheson, and one brother, Ralph Vaughn, both of Greensburg; and 4 grandchildren. A brother, Henry Vaughn, preceded him in death.
