DON WILDE
Funeral services for Don R. Wilde, 49, of 132 Mountain Fuel Station, Green River, were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Green River LDS Ward Chapel, Bishop Allen West officiating. Burial was in Coalville, Utah, with graveside services at 4:40 p.m.
Pallbearers were John E. Clark, Ellis M. Fox, Clarence H. Sargent, L.W. (Jack) Jones, Harry Jones, Eldon Bangerter, Ross Blonquist and William Ray Frint.
Mr. Wilde, a construction supervisor for Mountain Fuel Supply Co., suffered an attack and died Thursday, Oct. 22, while working for Mountain Fuel Supply in the area south of Rock Springs. He was dead on arrival at Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital a short time later.
Born in Coalville, Utah, Aug. 21, 1921, he was the son of James Henry and Margaret Randall Wilde. He married Pauline Moore Jan. 26, 1946, in Coalville, with the ceremony later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Salt Lake City.
Active as a member of the Green River Second Ward LDS Church, he had served as MIA superintendent, Sunday School superintendent and counselor, Green River Second Ward Bishopric seven years and as a high priest.
A Scoutmaster for several years, he also was on the Jim Bridger Council Extension Board.
Mr. Wilde was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in Burma and India. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline, Green River; two sons, Paul, Provo, Utah, and Brent, Green River; two daughters, Donna Rae and Doreen Grace Wilde, both of Green River; one brother, Leonard I. Jackson, Coalville; five sisters, Mrs. Harold (Jane) Bullock and Mrs. Frances F. (June) Toole, both of Coalville; Mrs. J.W. (Fontella) Wilde, Petoskey, Mich.; Mrs. Douglas W. (Maxine) Clark, Anchorage, Alaska, and Mrs. Don W. (Ione) Richins, Ogden, Utah, and one grandson.
