Doreen Grace Wilde, 50, of Rock Springs died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at the Able Hands group home, where she lived the last three years.
She was born July 3, 1963, in Rock Springs, the daughter of Don Ray Wilde and Pauline Moore Wilde. She attended schools in Green River and graduated from Green River High School with the class of 1986. She worked and lived at the Sweetwater Rehabilitation Center from 1988 to 2009. In February 2010, she moved into her current residence, Able Hands, where she spent her time learning life skills and enjoying her friends.
Her interests included participating and medaling in Special Olympics events, including bowling, gymnastics, swimming and track and field; spending time with her family and friends; listening to music; dancing; camping; and making people laugh.
She is survived by her brothers, Paul Wilde and wife Nancy and Brent Wilde; sister, Donna Rae Kemp and husband Ray; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Ray Wilde and Pauline Moore Wilde; and stepfather, Walter Ned Cole.
A viewing will take place from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at the Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Graveside services will be conducted at noon Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at the Coalville Cemetery in Coalville, Utah.
