Mary O. Bergeron, 90, of Amsterdam, formerly of Norfolk and widow of Hector J. Bergeron, died Thursday at her home.
The funeral was held at the Church of the Visitation, with the Rev. George Maroun, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was made in the Visitation Cemetery.
Surviving are a son, Francis Shyne; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Kathleen) Wysowski; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Henderson, Mrs. Ida Prashaw and Mrs. Agnes Esseltine; and nieces and nephews.
A son, Richard L. Zappia died in 1977.
Mrs. Bergeron was born March 24, 1899, in Brasher Falls, a daughter of Joseph and Abeline Sawyer Roshia.
She married Joseph Zappia, who died in 1943. She later married Hector J. Bergeron on Dec. 23, 1949, in Tupper Lake. Mr. Bergeron died in 1973.
Mrs. Bergeron was employed as an attendant at the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Sunmount Center in Tupper Lake, and lived most of her life in the Norfolk-Tupper Lake area.
She was a member of the Church of the Visitation, and the National Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
