Lester Mingee, 88, Metcalf died at 2 pm Tues at the VA hosp at Danville. He had been a patient 3 weeks.
Mr. Mingee was born in Vermilion Grove, Oct 10 1889, son of Alexander and Dora McNees Mingee. He married Mary Mearl Pribble Aug 3, 1954 at Paris. She survives with 2 sisters, Mrs. Bessie Julian of Charleston and Mrs. Stella Hamer of Hollywood, Fla. and a bro. Kenneth of Walnut Creek, Calif. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Mingee was a farmer and truck operator in the Metcalf area, was a WWI veteran, and was a member of the Metcalf Christian Church. Funeral services will be Fri. at 2 pm at the Honnold and Sonn Funeral Home, Chrisman, with visitation from 2-4 nd 7-9 Thur. Burial will be in Young America Cemetery at Hume."
