Mrs. Teague was born in Wilkes County, NC to the late Dewey Pedro and Bertha I. Absher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Teague; one son, Wayne Bruce Triplett; four brothers, and three sisters; and one great grandchild.
She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Harris Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Teague worked in the furniture industry as a silk screen printer. She loved working in her flower beds, sewing, working at the flea market and going to yard sales with her sister, Ozie Adams.
Survivors include one son, William "Bill" Triplett and wife Sherry of Hudson, NC, one stepson, Gary Teague and wife Ruth Ann of Taylorsville, NC; one daughter, Ann Turner and husband, Eddy of Granite Falls, NC; one brother, Johnny Absher of Hudson, NC; two sisters, Cora Lee Setzer and Wanda Absher both of Lenoir, NC; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Teague will be held, Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Pendry's Chapel with Reverend Josh Benge officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Pendry's Funeral Home.
