Mary Hill
Mary Allison Hill, 88, of Piedmont, died Friday, June 5, 2009.

Born in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Jesse D. and Marie Long Allison. Mrs. Hill was Valedictorian of Welcome High School, Class of 1938 and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James L. Hill, Sr.; three daughters, Beth H. Rice (Mike) of Charleston, Ann H. Strickland (Randy) of Pendleton; and Nancy Hill of Pendleton; one son, James L. Hill, Jr. (Dawn) of Belton; six grandchildren, Betsy Polk, Jay Rice, Dawn and Marti Strickland, and Chris and Ashley Hill; two great-grandchildren, Jane Polk and Tigist Campbell; and one brother, J.D. Allison of Piedmont.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by a brother, Noah Allison.

The Funeral Service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, with visitation prior from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Burial to follow the service in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
