PEIDMONT ---- Jessie D. Allison, 79, Rt. 1, Piedmont, Mountian Springs community, died at a Williamston hospital Monday at 4:45 p.m.

He was a native of Transylvania County, N.C., son of the late Street and Mary McGaha Allison. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marie Long Allison; two sons, J.D. Allison Jr. and Noah Allison of Rt. 1, Piedmont; a daughter, Mrs. James L. (Mary) Hill of Rt. 1, Piedmont; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Garrett and Mrs. Lena Cooper of Greenville; brother, Lewis Allison of Conestee; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Gray Mortuary by the Rev. Grady Tollison and the Rev. Paul Burnett. Burial will be in Shiloh Methodist Church cemetery.

The body is at the mortuary where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday. The family is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Hill Rt.1, Piedmont.
