Bradenton, Fla. - Edward Braglin, 87, of Bradenton, formerly of Glouster, Ohio, died at 5:20 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 6, 1997) at Blake Memorial Hospital in Bradenton. He was born March 13, 1910, in Moxahala, Ohio to Solomon and Mary Elizabeth Abram Braglin. He was a coal miner for 23 years and a psychiatric aide at Athens State Mental Hospital for 23 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Bishopville Masonic Lodge 470, American Legion Post 414 of Glouster and Church of the Cross. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Mahoney Braglin; one son, Edward S. Braglin of Dunellon, Fla.; two stepsons, Dennis F. Sours of Sarasota, Fla., and W.R. Sours of Bradenton; three daughters Donna Bailey and Peggy Williams, both of Mount Vernon and Joan Hite of McConnelsville; and several grandchildren and great-grantchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; his first wife, Beatrice Braglin; and is second wife, Dorothy Braglin. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Evangelist Randy Baker officiating. Burial is in Glouster Cemetery. Masonic services are at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Military services will be conducted at the cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
