Olga was born in Omaha, NE to Louis and Rosalie Hansen. Her parents came to the US in 1910 from Copenhagen, Denmark. Olga grew up on a farm outside of Omaha with her 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She married Edwin D. Harnett in 1935 in Omaha NE. They moved from Omaha to Kansas City in 1949. Ed passed away in 1971. Olga was married to her second husband, Lee Welch since Dec 28, 1973 until he divorced her on Jan 24, 2001. Olga was a volunteer at Baptist Medical Center of over 30 yrs. She was a member of the Swope Park Methodist Church from 1949 until 1966 when she became a member of the Blue Ridge Methodist Church. She had two brothers, Robert Louis and George Peter Hansen, She iis survived by her sisters, Vic Dougherty of Omaha, NE, Betty Rybin of Blair, NE and Gert Menkel of Aurora, MO. and had 3 sons, Joe Harnett of Dallas, TX, Ed Harnett of Overland Park, KS, and Bruce Harnett, deceased, and a daughter, Carol Morice of Randolph, NJ. She also is survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Memorials are suggested to Odyssey Hospice or the American Diabetes Association.
