Marriage from Peoria site: Marriage 3-10-1878, Eliza Wahl to John Fritz, father=George Gladfelter, mother =Elizabeth Hammer. Elizabeth's mother died in 1863 and all the children were split up. According to the 1870 census, Elizabeth Gladfelter was 10 and living with Fredrick and Barbara Wahl. Elizabeth never knew her birth parents

MRS JOHN FRITZ, 64 YEARS OLD, IS DEAD OF STROKE
Mrs John Fritz, 64 years old, died at 1:40 Friday morning following a paralytic stroke Wednesday at her home at 223 Grant Street.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Christian church. Burial will be made in Riverside cemetery.
Mrs Fritz is survived by her husband, Mr John Fritz, and seven children, two sons and five daughters. The daughters are Mrs L M Liewellyn, of Fort Morgan; Mrs W W Arnold of Denver; Mrs M P Anderson of Denver; Mrs C E Ericksen of Akron and Mrs Fred Hansen of Creighton, Neb. The sons are Luke Fritz of Fort Morgan and Charles Fritz of Julesburg, Colo.
Mrs Fritz was born December 19, 1860. She and her husband came to Colorado about six years ago from Clay Center, Neb. They first came to Akron, Colo, but about three years ago they took up residence in Fort Morgan.
