Eugene S. Bare, 72, of 436 S. Kenmore died at 2:37 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital after an eight-month illness. He was retired from Mishler Cabinet Co., Nappanee. He was born on Aub. 2. 1905, in Huntington and lived here most of his life, coming from Wabash.

On Nov. 3, 1925, in Wabash, he married Lena Kinsley, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Norma Gadd and Mrs. Laverna Lueneburg, both of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Patrida Magiera and Mrs. Mary Gesto, both of South Bend; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Pappas of South Bend, and two brothers, Donald F. of Mishawaka and Alvin of Florida.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home with Rev. Donald Neely, pastor of the Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, officiatng. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
