WHITAKER – Edna C. Whitaker of Veneta died in a local hospital on Saturday, April 21. She was born near Crow, Oregon on May 10, 1923 and has been a resident of this county her entire life. Surviving are her father, George W. Liles of Veneta; two brothers: Dorris Liles of Veneta and Herbert of Elmira. Funeral service will take place from the Poole-Larsen chapel on Tuesday, April 24 at 2 p.m. Rev. George Alder will officiate and interment will be in the Liles cemetery.∼The Register-Guard
