WHITAKER – Edna C. Whitaker of Veneta died in a local hospital on Saturday, April 21. She was born near Crow, Oregon on May 10, 1923 and has been a resident of this county her entire life. Surviving are her father, George W. Liles of Veneta; two brothers: Dorris Liles of Veneta and Herbert of Elmira. Funeral service will take place from the Poole-Larsen chapel on Tuesday, April 24 at 2 p.m. Rev. George Alder will officiate and interment will be in the Liles cemetery.The Register-Guard

Mrs. Edna C. Whittaker, 21, lifelong resident of Lane County, died Saturday at a hospital in Eugene. She was born near Crow, May 10, 1923.

Surviving are her father, George W. Liles of Veneta; two brothers, Dorris Liles of Veneta and Herbert Liles of Elmira.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Poole-Larsen mortuary, Rev. George Ader officiating. Internment will be in the Liles cemetery.
