Pauline "Polly" Glenn, 85, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006, at McDowell Hospital. She was born April 13, 1920 to the late D.A. and Grace Nichols Silver.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Clarence Roy Glenn.

For many years, Polly was the loving daughter and caregiver for her elderly parents and a devoted sister to her brother Carroll, also deceased. She retired from East Court Motor Company as their bookkeeper/accountant for over 40 years. She was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Marion and in later years, no longer able to attend, she found great comfort in watching tapes of the sermons. She enjoyed her membership in the Pilot Club, traveling with her late husband, especially to Tallahassee, FL in the springtime, growing her beloved roses, reading, working with numbers, and eating her favorite homemade chocolate fudge. Her sparkling blue eyes, beautiful smile, and her joyful laughter and love of life will be missed.

She is survived by her step-son, Dr. John K. Glenn of Columbia, MO and step-daughter-in-law, Esther C.S. Glenn, four step granddaughters and six step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in Westmoreland Chapel with Dr. Scott Hagaman officiating.
