He was born in Centerville, was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Thompson Sunday School Class and was a former member of the Board of Trustees, a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the Valley Encampment of Odd Fellows, MORA Club, Golden Age Club, Senior Action Center, Carlisle Fish and Game, Empire Hook and Ladder, Cumberland County Volunteer Fireman's Association and the Railroad Retirement Club.
He was previously married to the late Velva Fickes Hefflefinger.
Surviving are his wife, Grace Burd Hefflefinger; a son, Clark B. Hefflefinger Jr., 1001 W. South St.; a stepson, David W. Burd, Newburg; a stepdaughter, Sara Ann Crider, Martinsburg, W. Va.; and a granddaughter.
Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
