The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Glenn's Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Webb was born September 29, 1942, in Rockingham County, to the late Albert and Ruby Alice Hundley Chaney. She was a retired employee of Bassett-Walker, Inc. and was a member of Riverside Church of the Living God. Rilla loved the Lord and delighted in taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Jacob Adkins; sisters, Martha Manuel and Vera Tuggle and brother, Franklin Chaney.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Daniel Boone Webb, of the home; daughters, Melinda Smith and husband, Robert, Regina Wilmoth and husband, Roger, and Robin Via and husband, Timmy; brothers, Steve Chaney and wife, Dorothy, Carson Chaney and wife, Shorty, and Gene Chaney and wife, Penny; sisters, Carolyn Sizemore and husband, Johnny, Betty Dunlap and husband, Larry, Christine Via and husband, Larry, and Barbara Dunlap and husband, Ricky; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 14 , 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the home.
