Funeral services for Lois Irma Barr, 89, were held Sat. Dec. 26 at First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Mrs. Barr died December 23, 1992, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. Burial was at Earlham Cemetery.

Mrs. Barr was born in Perry on October 21, 1903, to Walter and Emma (Garrett) Ramsey. She married Lloyd Barr on February 23, 1922, in Earlham. She lived most of her lifetime in Madison County and worked as a housemother at William Penn College in Oskaloosa for five years. She was a homemaker and a member of C.W.F. Iris Club, Golden Opportunity Club and Golden Years Club. She belonged to the First Christian Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a daughter; two sisters; and two grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include a son, LLoyd James (Jim) Barr, Jr. of Des Moines; three daughters, Irma Roach of Cumming, Shirley Cornelison of Minburn; Elsie Paullin of San Diego, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
