BUTTERMANN - Virginia "Gokey," 87, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Friendship Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Raywick, KY, the former Virginia P. Hogan and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry Buttermann Jr.; daughter, Lynn Reed; and grandson, Garry Buttermann IV. Surviving is her daughter, Terrie McCarthy (Dan); sons, Garry Buttermann III (Marilyn) and Mike Buttermann (Rachel); brother, Paul Hogan (Helen); grandchildren, Becky King (Steve), Jill Canuel (Jason), Danny McCarthy (Jinny), Leigh McCarthy, Mikey McCarthy (Brittany), Matt McCarthy (Callie), Christian McCarthy, John McCarthy, Cleo Buttermann, Tate Buttermann, Liv Buttermann; and five great-grandchildren. Her service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday.
