Phyllis Lavon Fields, 55, of Michigantown, died at 4:43 a.m. Thursday in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
Mrs. Fields, who was born Sept. 17, 1934, in Frankfort, worked at Schlosser Dairy from 1951 until 1957, and she was the bookkeeper at Koertge Dairy from 1970 until 1983.
A lifetime resident of Clinton County, she graduated from Frankfort High School in 1952. She was a member of First Christian Church of Michigantown.
She married Samuel F. Fields on Dec. 26, 1953. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Samuel H. Fields of Muncie and Richard Fields of Michigantown; a daughter, Donna Melea Kercheval of Sedalia; six sisters, Evelyn Roby of Indianapolis, Donna Richards of Howell, Mich., Marilyn Sue Jacoby of Forest and Marjorie Lindean, Bonnie Loveless and Betty Hollis, all of Frankfort; and five brothers, James Roy Hollis, Robert Hollis and Richard Hollis, all of Frankfort, William Hollis of Greentown and Fred Hollis of Kokomo.
