Carlos is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma Jean Gómez, four sons, Steven Gómez and his wife, Mary Jane, Donald Gómez and his wife, Elizabeth, Gary Gómez and his wife, Ginger and Michael Gómez and his wife, Kim, daughter, Anita Gómez, 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister, Christina Lloyd and brother, Tony Gómez and his wife, Marie.
Carlos was born and raised in Las Vegas, NM where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Norma Jean.
Carlos graduated from Highlands University after he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
After graduating, he moved to Visalia, CA where he raised his family and worked for Tulare County Department of Human Services.
After retirement, he moved back to Albuquerque where he spent his retirement years enjoying painting and genealogy.
Carlos was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2006 at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria NE, Albuquerque, NM. Inurnment will be at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
