Joseph Harry Turner, 84, died Sunday, August 29, 1993, at his home.

He was born April 8, 1909, in Lamar, Colorado, the son of John D. and Luella Maude Taylor Turner. He married Dora Ellen Calderwood on June 30, 1930. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 4, 1953. She passed away in August 1977. On June 14, 1980, he married Bertha Annie Robinson in Coalville, Utah. She died July 19, 1992.

He was a member of the LDS Church, Coalville 2nd Ward. He had worked as a private contractor for 35 years, and was employed by Summit County at the Henefer Landfill.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter: Joseph Duane Turner, North Salt Lake; Eugene B. Turner, Arizona; ReNee Waddoups, Prosser, Washington; six stepsons and one stepdaughter, Boyd Robinson, Coalville; Elden Robinson, Brigham Cty; Darrell Robinson, Anchorage, Alaska; Leona Anderson, Sunset; Roger Robinson, Salt Lake City; Verlan Robinson, Clearfield; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, two sisters, Heiselt Turner, Mary Turner, Elko, Nevada; Donald Turner, Twin Falls, Idaho; Joy Noakes, Wells, Nevada. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Isakson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 2, at 1 p.m., in the Coalville Stake Chapel, with Bishop Douglas V. Moore conducting. Friends may call at Walker Mortuary in Coalville, Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment, Coalville City Cemetery.
