On Dec. 30, 1866, Frances was united in marriage to Dexter George Harris, at Pulaski Twp. Iowa Co., Wis. Dexter was born Dec. 29, 1845, in Delaware Co., Ohio, son of a father born either in Mass. or New York, and a mother born in Ohio. He died July 23, 1924, in Barron, aged 78 years, 6 months and 24 days, and was buried there in Wayside Cemetery besides the remains of his wife Frances.
Their one known child was Clara Belle Harris, born March 16, 1875.
OBITUARY
On Aug. 25th occurred the death of Mrs. Dexter G. Harris, of this city, one of the first residents in this territory. Death came after a continued period of illness extending over a number of years. The funeral was held from the hose "Aug. 27, and interment was made in the Wayside cemetery.
Mrs Harris was born in Iowa county, Wisconsin, in 1848, and in 1866 she was united in marriage to Dexter G. Harris, at Avoca, Wis. They came to Barron in 1881, and have made this place their home since that time. She leaves her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Pearl White, of this city, to mourn her loss.
