∼Theordore Jones, 65, a grocer from White Oak, was burned so severely at his store that he died at a local hospital. When he attempted to build a fire in his stove with kerosine, the resulting explosion threw the liquid all over him.
Both his wife and a son, Otis, were also badly burned when they attempted to extinquish his clothing.
The rear of the store was burned in the fire which followed.
Funeral services were held at White Oak with interment following at Fairview Cemetery.
