Margaret L. Gallo, 81, formerly of Manorville and a lifelong resident of the area, died Thursday, March 20, 2008, in Sugar Creek Rest Home in Worthington. She was born Dec. 29, 1926, in Templeton, a daughter of the late Marlin and Claire Farester Klingensmith. She worked as a cashier for Laurie's Market in Kittanning, and also for Livengood's Store in Manorville. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ford City and also of United Methodist Church in Manorville. She volunteered at the ACMH working in the gift shop. As her hobby, she enjoyed bowling at the Ford City Falcons and Kittanning King Lanes. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen R. (Steven) Shriver, of Manteo, N.C.; sister, Dora B. Wolfe, of Adrian; brother, Richard "Tub" (ValJean) Klingensmith, of Kittanning; four grandchildren, Michael, Jarrod and Amy Suess and Maggie Radich; and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Suess and Thomas Radich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Gallo, who died July 11, 1999, and to whom she was married for 52 years; a daughter, Jacqueline Suess; two brothers, George and Robert Klingensmith; and three sisters, Goldie Darling, Jean Fitzgerald and Alice Greenawalt. Friends may call from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the KENNEDY & BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, where a Celebration of Life will follow at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Earl F. Watterson officiating. Burial will be made in Cochran Cemetery, Templeton.
