Goldie Irene (Klingensmith) Darling, 71, of Cabot RD2, died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at the Armstrong County Health Center. She was born January 10. 1933 in Templeton to Marlin A. and Ethel Claire (Farster) Klingensmith. Mrs. Darling was a homeaker and a dietary aide at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township. She was a member of Templeton Methodist Church. Survivors include one brother, Richard A."Tub" Klingensmith of Templeton, two sisters, Dorabelle Wolfe of Adrian, and Margaret Gallo of Kittanning and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert E. Darling, who died May 31, 1990, two brothers, Robert and George Klingensmith, and two sisters, Alice Greenawalt and Jean Fitzgerald. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kennedy Blodgett Funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John W. Snyder, pastor of St. Luke's United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Cochran Cemetery.
