MARY (MAGGERT) GARDNER, was born in Champaign County, Ohio, the daughter of David (Samuel, Daniel) Maggert and Mary M. Merica. She married Fenelon Gardner, April 1, 1854, in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Fenelon was the son of Richard Gardner and Ruth Nelson. Fenelon and Mary came to Minnesota in 1882, with seven of their children. After Fenelon died in 1897, Mary returned to Indiana to live with her daughter. Fenelon is buried in Bluehill cemetery, located in Sherburne County, Minnesota.
