Julia A. was born to Russell W. and Regina N. Crandall. She married Kinsley Fay Allen in 1859 in Wisconsin. Before 1870 they moved to Madelia, Minnesota, as did Julia's parents, where they farmed. Around 1905 they joined
several of the their children in southern Idaho. Julia and Kinsley had seven children.
Allen Funeral Friday
The funeral services for Mrs. Julia Allen who died in Portland last Saturday will be held Friday afternoon at 2 oclock at the Presbyterian church. Dr. J.W. Boone and Rev. D.H. Hare will officiate. She is survived by her husband, F.K. Allen and six children, Charles Allen of Roswell, Mrs. Bullock of Yakima, Wash., C.H. Allen of Portland, B.H. Allen of Scappoose, Ore., Mrs. W.W. Watterman of Caldwell, and G.K. Allen of Oakland, Calif. One son, Judson K. Allen, died here several years ago, being at the time a student at the College of Idaho.
Interment will be in Canyon Hill Cemetery, beside her son.
