Bonnie (B.B.) Carson, 90, of Moore, began singing with the angels Friday at quitting time, having hopped the last freight, driven the last leg and completed his final punch list. Born May 25, 1921 in Leon, Oklahoma, to Thomas James and Willie Ruth Carson, he had 4 brothers and two sisters. In an old community called Walnut Grove, not far from the new Boat House Row, B.B. pursued, fell in love with and married Irene Samples, May 6, 1939. Their love and commitment of 65 years produced 6 sons and 1 daughter. His wife and oldest son, Lonnie, are still celebrating his arrival in Heaven. Blessed, but grieving, daughter-in-law, Linda Carson, Norman; son, Jim, Moore; daughter, Bonnie Riggs, Gulfport; sons & daughters-in-law: Jerry & LaRea, Newcastle; Bob & Judi, Edmond; Roger & Anita, Choctaw; Scott & Stephanie, Norman. He had in excess of 50 grand/ great/great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. He left this world better than he found it. Services will be at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK. Interment will follow at the Schwartz Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
