A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Nancy Williams. She retired from the Norfolk Public School System as a secretary and was an active long-standing member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels for many years and enjoyed square dancing with the Tidewater Twirlers. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed needlepoint and loved doing things with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Vincent D. Bryan; her son, Vincent D. "Dave" Bryan Jr. and wife Joanne of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren, Paul Bryan and wife Andrea of Belleville, Mich., and Julie Bryan of Gloucester, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Carper officiating. The family will receive friends in the home of Joanne and Dave. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 20 Interstate Corporation Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, VA 23502 or Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 288 E. Little Creek Road, Norfolk, VA 23505.
