Becky Denise Charles Adkins, 43, of Slate Creek Road, Grundy, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at her home.
Born in Buchanan County, September 13, 1967, she was the daughter of Billy Robert Charles of Grundy and the late Lois Ann Charles.
She was a member of Harman Memorial Baptist Church and was a 1985 graduate of Grundy Senior High School and a graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College where she received a degree in business. She was an employee of Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Grundy for the past 16 years where she served in the capacity as business office manager.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Ann Charles.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her spouse, Richard G. Adkins; one daughter, Rebecca Nicole Stollings and husband, Jesie, of Grundy; two sisters, Brenda Sue Stiltner of Grundy and Rita Justus and husband, Joe, of Hurley; two grandchildren, Terence LaTerrell (Opie) Stollings and Trevin Jayde "Half Pint" Stollings.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 25 at Harman Memorial Baptist Church at Harman with Pastor Shea Shrader, Rev. Ronnie Lee Lester and Evg. Bill Neeley officiating. Burial followed in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock.
