OBITUARY: Beaver Dam Daily Citizen, Monday, June 18, 1973.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin J. Rosenmeier, 202 Roller Ave., Beaver Dam, both died over the weekend. Mrs. Rosenmeier, nee Rosella K. Schweister, passed away on Saturday, June 16, at Clearview, Juneau, and Mr. Rosenmeier died on Sunday, June 17, at Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, Hillside Unit. Both had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Rosenmeier will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 10:30 a.m. at the Murray Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Stier will officiate at the services and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Surviving the couple are two sons, Richard of Beaver Dam, and James of Fond du Lac; one daughter, Mrs. Dwayne (Carol) Braun, Beaver Dam; and 11 grandchildren. A grandchild preceded in death. Mrs. Rosenmeier is also survived by three brothers, William Schweister of Ripon, Leonard Schweister of Kaukauna, and Arthur Schweister of Black Creek. Preceding in death were her parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Also surviving Mr. Rosenmeier is a sister, Mathilda Rosenmeier of Beaver Dam. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, a sister, and his first wife, Clara Rahn, whom he married in November 1923, and who died in February, 1929.

Mr. Rosenmeier was born on December 29, 1897, in the town of Beaver Dam, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian Rosenmeier. Mrs. Rosenmeier was born at Black Creek on November 3, 1911, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Schweister. The couple were married on October 16, 1934, and were members of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Mr. Rosenmeier was a retired employee of Kirsh Foundry, where he had worked for 20-years as a core maker. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mrs. Rosenmeier had been employed as a dietary aide at St. Joseph's Hospital for 19-years, and was a member of St. Peter's Christian Mothers and Altar Society.

Friends may call at the Murray Funeral Home after 4 p.m. on Tuesday and until the hours of services on Wednesday morning. There will be a Knights of Columbus vigil for Mr. Rosenmeier at 7:00 p.m., a Christian Mothers vigil for Mrs. Rosenmeier at 7:30 p.m., and a parish vigil for the couple at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.

A correction appeared in the next day's issue, which corrected the spelling of Rosella's surname to SCHWISTER, and added that she was also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Glen (Caroline) Van Straten and Mrs. Harvey (Catherine) Schroeder, both of Black Creek.
