Shirley Osbon Christman was born on April 3, 1931 in Madison Parish and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at St. Francis Regional Hospital in Monroe at the age of 80.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Delhi.
Visitation will be held from 6-8PM Saturday at Cox Fueneral Home.
Interment will be in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel Minter Osbon and Daniel Webster Osbon; one sister Geraldine Osbon Bertrand; one brother Raymond Earl Osbon and a great grandson Andrew Copes.
She is survived by five children, David Christman and wife Diane of Delhi, Nauvoo Christman of Winnsboro, Albert Christman and wife Caroline of Delhi, Kaye Christman Shively and husband Clayton of Minden and Clovis Christman and wife Tawney of Monroe.
Mrs. Christman is also survived by her grandchildren, Deanna Burkhart, David Christman III, Joey Williams, Sean Williams, Angel Edwards, Meredith Smith, Fran Nixon, Patches Edwards, Callie Davis, Marletta Holcomb, Caleb Christman and Jessica Ortega; by eighteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Shirley had the joy of a very best friend, Cissie McCormick, with whom she enjoyed daily visits and afternoon coffee.
Pallbearers will be Joey Williams, Sean Williams, Caleb Christman, Brandon Edwards, Justin Holcomb and Steven Nixon.
