Last Rites Conducter For Residenrt of Marlin

Funeral services held from home with burial in Taylor Chapel Cemetery

The funeral of Mrs Lucy Carpenter, age 63 years, wife of R J Carpenter,
who died at her home in Marlin Wednesday afternoon, was held at four o'clock
this afternoon. She had been in ill health for some years.
A native of Texas, Mrs Carpenter was daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Harmon Redden.
She had resided in Falls County practically all of her life, living in Marlin for the last
score of years. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, one son, Lee Carpenter of Marlin; two daughters, Mrs.
Ella Mae Shelton and Mrs Mary Cagle of Marlin.
Services for the deceased were conducted at the family residence by Rev. S D
Dollahite, pastor of the First Baptist Church and Rev H Y Montgomery, pastor of
the Full Gospel Church with last rites at the grave in Taylor Chapel Cemetery,
burial following.
