Per The Brant genealogy of Somerset County, Pennsylvania; Record of the John Brandt Family, page 21; Mrs. [Phoebe] Brant was the daughter of Henry and Susan (Coleman) Schrock. Eleven children were born to Frederick and Phoebe (Schrock) Brant. They were: Austin, Jeremiah, Anne, Lucinda, Elizabeth, Susan, Israel, James, Sarah, Amanda and Eliza.
