GLADYS DRAKE, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2003. She was a long time resident of Horizon City and a member of the First Baptist Church in Horizon City since 1975. She retired from the Civil Service after 20 years. She was also a Sunday School Secretary and Financial Secretary for the church. Preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Drake. Mrs. Drake is survived by her 2 daughters, 3 grandsons, and 2 great granddaughters. She was also survived by her brother, Cecil Bridges of Thornton, IA; and sister, Irene Davis of DeRidder, LA. Visitation for Mrs. Drake will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2003 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home East. A chapel service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2003 at 1:15 p.m. Burial will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery
