Tyyne A. Allen, 82, Virginia, formerly of Pike Township, died Saturday, June 1, 1996, in the Virginia Convalescent Center.
She was born in Finland, where she grew up and attended school. She immigrated to the United States in 1954. She married Neil H. Allen in Detroit on Nov. 19, 1956. They made their home in Pike Township following their marriage and farmed there until moving to Virginia in 1979. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Virginia Senior Citizens.
Her parents were Jacob and Sanna Halkosaari. She is survived by her husband, Neil; and a sister, Senija Komulain of Toronto.
Visitation: Noon until the 1 p.m. services Wednesday in the Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Burial will be in East Pike Cemetery in Pike Township.
