Adolphus "Ben" Booker, 83, of 127 Harvard Drive, died Friday, June 24, 2011. A native of Union County, he was the husband of Flossie Lyles Booker and the son of the late Adolphus and Hattie Booker Mims. He was a retired employee of Spartan Landscape and Spartanburg Country Club. He was a US Navy veteran.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include two sons, Charles Lyles and John Bogan; two daughters, Doris Harris and Lorinda Lyles; two brothers, June Mims and Bobby (Queen) Mims; three sisters, Ruby Smith, Shirley Sims, and Betty Nelson; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
