Pryor Boy Killed.
Missoula, Mont., June 26 – Clarence Shaw, of Pryor, Okla., a corporal in E company, second Montana national guard was shot thru the heart and killed today by Acting Corporal Arthur Kline, of the same company. The shooting is said to have been accidental. It occurred at a railroad construction camp the company was guarding. Shaw enlisted at Miles City, Mont. Kline's home is in Denver. – Phoenix
Clarence Shaw was the son of Claud Shaw, who lived several miles northwest of Pryor.

The body of Clarence Shaw, notice of whose death at Missoula, Montana, appeared in last week's Republican, was shipped to this place, arriving here Sunday night and was taken to the home of his father near Union Chapel. The funeral was held Tuesday and the body interred in the Union Chapel cemetery.
Clarence Elver Shaw was born at Big Cabin, Okla., July 24, 1292 (1892?), died at Missoula, Montana, June 26, 1917. He was a corporal in E company, 2nd Montana National Guards. He was accidentally shot by a comrade by the name of Arthur Kline, a corporal in the same company.
