S. P. CHILDERS OF RUTLEDGE DEAD
Rutledge, Mo., Oct. 14.—The funeral of S. P. Childers, who died at his home west of Rutledge, will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at Sand Hill church, with burial in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Mr. Childers, who was one of the early settlers of the county, had reached the age of 82 years. He leaves three sons, Joe of Boise, Idaho; Hugh and Ernest, and two daughters, Mrs. William Suter and Mrs. Will Forrester, all of Rutledge. His wife died about two years ago.
Mr. Childers had been a factor in building up the community and was one of the substantial citizens of the county. He was a loving father, and an upright and honorable neighbor and friend.
