Of Nampa Dies

     NAMPA (Special) —Joseph Alexander Childers, 73, a resident of Boise valley 35 years, died Thursday morning at his farm home three miles west of Nampa on the Nampa-Caldwell boulevard.
     He was born in Memphis, Mo., January 8, 1868, and spent his early life there. He came west in 1905, locating in north Idaho and the following year came to Boise valley.
     Mr. Childers was a conductor on the old Boise Valley Traction line from 1910 to 1924, when he moved to the farm home where he died. In October, 1923, he was married to Grace Van Kirk.
     Surviving are his wife, Grace; a son, Charles V. Childers, age 12 years; two sisters, Mrs. Millie Suter of Rutledge, Mo., and Mrs. Nellie Forrester of Memphis, Mo.; two brothers, Hugh and Earnest Childers of Rutledge, Mo.
     He was a member of Boise Lodge No. 2, A. F. & A. M., the Scottish Rite in Boise and of El Korah Temple of the Shrine.
     The body is at the Robinson Funeral chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p. m. The Masons will have charge of the services at the grave in Kohlerlawn cemetery.
