His older sister, Loretta, married Walter Drees; they had five children. She died in 1993 and is buried in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Daykin, Nebraska.
His next-younger brother, William, married Leona Burstadt; they survive and live in Tobias, Nebraska.
His youngest sister, Lela, married Harold Bauer; she survives, but Harold died in 2003.
